We are excited to be partnering with the NDSS to bring the Buddy Walk® to Lincoln NE. It is time to create your team and share the event with friends and family.  This year the theme is rock your socks and the t-shirt design, chosen by our Afternoon Club regulars is listed above.  We can't wait to rock our socks!

Every Dollar Makes a Difference

Even a Small $10 Donation can go a long way.
At Down Syndrome Advocates in Action Nebraska, we work daily to make sure individuals with Down syndrome are included in their communities. Small donations can be used to go to the movies, provide snacks at our Next Chapter Book Club, or be added to other donations to provide a scholarship for a local, regional or national conference.

Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!
Every year people from all over the world celebrate the Down syndrome community on March 21. This is because the condition, also known as Trisomy 21, is caused when a child is born with a 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome. Other than the covid years, we have always tried to host our Buddy Walk on the Saturday before World Down Syndrome Day. Won't you consider donating $21 in honor of this international celebration?

Help Families Feel Supported During the IEP Process
IEP meetings are stressful for parents. We know because as parent advocates we have all sat at IEP tables and heard the things our kids struggle with in school. We have also successfully helped families work together with schools to think outside the box to implement up to date and best practice educational strategies for kids with Down syndrome. Your donations can help ensure advocates are available to families when they need them the most.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 Lincoln Decade Celebration  Buddy Walk!
