2020 Nebraska Buddy Walk Recap.

9/16/2020

Thank you to everyone who registered, donated and participated in the 2020 Nebraska Virtual Buddy Walk.  We raised over $11,000 from over 500 registered walkers and donors to help with operating expenses, networking and educational events,  to cover the costs of our programming, and to use to develop new programming.
If you are not aware of the programming we already offer, Please check out some of our current programs:
New Parent Outreach
321 Parent to Parent
Extened Hospital Stay Assistance
Peer Presentations
Educational Scholarships
IEP Assistance
Family Connections Webinars
You can find out  more about any of these programs at dsaane.org/programs

However we recognize that in light of the pandemic, some of these programs will look differently.  We are currently hosting virtual monthly parent meetings, weekly afternoon clubs, and this summer we hosted 4 sessions of educational Covid Camp which had both live and recorded participation options.
What we need to know from you our members, is what programming would help you now in light of current circumstances?  Please email us at info@dsaane.org with information about what programs and assistance you would like to see created moving forward.
We are a 100% volunteer run organization.  We could not be able to serve any families without the tireless efforts of our volunteers.  We welcome not only your ideas, but your help.  we have many committees, that could use your help.  If you would like to volunteer for any of our committees, or create a new committee please email info@dsaane.org

nks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal exper ience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
