Thank you for everyone who came to our first ever Down Syndrome Awareness Mall Walk hosted by Down Syndrome Advocates in Action Nebraska. Even though it was snowing outside on March 19th, the weather in the mall was perfect for a walk. The event was held to help spread positive awareness about Down syndrome and to promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging individuals to walk laps around the mall. For each mall lap completed, walkers were given a raffle ticket to try to win a selection of raffle prizes. Congratualtions to Sue, Kira and Tara for winning Royals tickets, a 4 night stay in Branson, and a Down syndrome awareness basket. Individuals with Down syndrome and their families all enjoyed a free ride on the mall carousel and receied a random act of kindness card, with a coupon for a free Subway cookie. Deb and Angie would like to personally thank everone for coming and the following organizations for their generous donations to the Down Syndrome Awareness Mall Walk!

We should spread the love and we should always help one another because in the end there will be great blessings that we will receive. Blessings that will make us all happy and we will have that extra energy that we need for us to fight the different battles that we have in this life. Let us keep on looking for that extra light that we need. Light that is needed for a brighter future. I am excited to see the improvement in the study of Down Syndrome. Comments are closed.
