Down Syndrome Awareness Month Day 2

Down Syndrome Advocates in Action was founded on the principles that every family deserves to feel supported.  In addition to our mission we have the following purpose and vision:
Purpose: Be a dynamic and innovative advocate group in Nebraska that actively partners with area support groups to help individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential. ​ Advocate for and defend the rights of all persons with Down syndrome. Inspire and empower families and self advocates to become confident advocates by providing up-to-date information and resources. Pursue inclusion of individuals who have Down syndrome in all areas of life so they embrace opportunities to contribute and be valued members of society.
 Our Vision
to work toward creating a society in which people with Down syndrome are welcomed as valued members of the community.
