DSAA Nebraska is proud to be hosting 2 Buddy Walks in the next few weeks right here in Nebraska. The first is the Lincoln Star City Buddy Walk to be held at Gateway Mall on March 16, 2019. This walk is an open house where families and team can walk any time that is convenient for them between 8 and noon. We will walk one lap as a group at 1o:30 am for any who would like to join us. While this walk is our main fund-raiser for the year, the purpose of the walk is to raise positive awareness about Down syndrome and to promote walking as part of a healthy lifestyle, The walk itself is free to anyone who would like to come and support the community, however we do have some great prizes for those who would like to participate wearing a Buddy Walk t-shirt or button. The t-shirt deadline for this walk has passed, but we will have a couple sizes of shirts available the morning of the walk for $15 on a first come, first served basis. Buttons will also be available for a donation of $4. Walkers who walk with a t-shirt can earn one raffle ticket for every lap of the mall they walk. Walkers wearing a button will earn one raffle ticket for participating. Even if you plan to attened as a free walker, we would appreciate if you pre-register to save time and to give us an accurate head count. The Kearney Lucky Few Buddy Walk will be held on April 6, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Kearney. Come join us for food, fun and fellowship as we celebrate The Lucky Few individuals in our community who are Rockin' an Extra Chromosome☘️💙💛. Shirts are just $15 and need to be ordered by March 22nd. Use this link to order your shirt. Your shirt is your registration or $10 at the door will get access to all the food and festivities. Not able to make the walk, you can still donate to help promote Down syndrome awareness and education in Nebraska. We appreciate your support!
